Marjorie Phoenix

is the author of the book, “Who the hell do you think you are? ” Founder and C.E.O of Giving Voices Project and an award-winning speaker. In 2015 she founded Giving Voices Project, a non-profit organization that tells the stories of survivors of abuse and violence by using the arts. Her personal journey with using art to heal began in 2010 when after a 7-year marriage and being a stay at home mother, she found herself spending the night in jail, homeless and fighting for her child and her life. Through her work she uses the power of story and her voice to make an impact in the world in order to create a society of equality and collective leadership. She believes that through storytelling and creative self-expression it can inspire us to be the change we are seeking in the world. This influenced the inception of Storytime and Wine. She uses this philosophy in her community work as a member of Organize Florida’s Criminal Justice Committee and Color of Change Racial Justice Organization. Marjorie is a wine connoisseur, a lover of classic jazz and an avid reader. Marjorie holds a degree in Sociology with a Minor in Women & Gender Studies and a Master’s in Psychology. She is the proud mother of two beautiful daughters.
